Keeping our Patients and Staff safe

Patient and Staff Safety

In these unusual times, the safety of our patients and staff has become more important than ever. With that in mind we have made changes in our office to mitigate risks against COVID-19 and any other infections.

Please take a moment to review these changes listed below, and let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, by emailing us at contact@jjcarlosdmd.com.

Complete office refurbishment >>

On December 7th last year our office was flooded during a storm. We spent 3 months refurbishing the office in order to make it safe and clean for our patients. This included replacing our carpeted floor with a vinyl plank flooring. This product allows for easier and better cleaning.

All areas are cleaned and sanitized at the beginning and end of the day and in between patients.

<< reception area sneeze guard

The 'sneeze guard' offers a physical separation between you and our front office staff.

Rabbit MINUSA2 air purifier >>

In the waiting room you will see our new Rabbit MINUS2 air purifier. This purifier has 6 levels of filters, each one giving a higher level of filtration:

1: Pre-filter: Large Particles, Pollen, Dust Mites

2: Medium Filter: Bacteria, Dander, Dust Particles, Mold and Fungi

3: BIOGS HEPA Filter: Bacteria, Particles that can carry virus, Dander, Dust Particles, Mold & Fungi

4: Germ Defence: Engineered to trap and reduce bacteria, mold and particles that carry viruses

5: Activated Carbon Charcoal: Greenhouse gases, Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

6: Negative IONs Filters:

<< Additional water filters at each chair

The office has a water filter for the main water feed. In addition to this we have added Sterisil Water Filters at each chair filtering the water used during dental procedures. These microbiological filters produce water with less than or equal to 10 CFU/ml HPC bacteria, surpassing industry standard.

hand sanitizer >>

Automatic, no-touch hand sanitizer dispensers can be found in the reception area, at the operatories, and in the patient restroom. You will be requested to make use of these as you enter the office.
